Palindrome was founded in January 2016 by Aviva Dassen, a cum laude graduate in Writing, Editing, and Mediating at the University of Groningen at age 21. Logically, the services provided by Palindrome tie in with her talents – writing, editing, and… well… mediating.
It was hardly a surprise for Aviva to have started an editing company, as she has been correcting people’s language for quite some time. Such grammar policing is often regarded as ‘annoying’, but fortunately research proved quite the opposite: language purists are wanted. Aviva has experienced it in the same way. After having been asked consistently by friends, family, colleagues, and even strangers to help them with their writing – whether this be editing, translating, or proofreading it – she decided to turn her skill into a profession. Thus, Palindrome was born.
